Art around the city

Its been a while since I shared some of the art I have come across around the city here in New Bedford, so that's where I am heading for this post, A few photos more than normal in this post, I do downsize the images to try and help with them loading better on Mobile devices and for the same reason normally limit them to 5 or so photos, but I thought these all fit together in this post, and hopefully soon I will be out getting new photos and if so I may never get to share these images
So apologies for anyone who these images take to long to load

I edited these a while back so am not sure where some of them are, but starting with this one I came across I believe on Acushnet Ave
this one just made me smile its just so much fun

the cap on the first is a New Bedford MA NBMA Logo I see in many places around here

This piece of art I think I have shared before its also off Acushnet Ave and is worn with time but I still find it pretty cool

Now this one I saw from the the road down by the port and got this photo of it, later on I will share a closer in shot of it from another walk

Now this may not be great quality in painting but I like when plain grey boxes on the road are given a splash of color like this

Speaking of the Port, this mural is on the side of a little building down in the port

Now I wont get into my thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement, and would rather people who comment on the post stay away from that subject, but I thought this art piece in downtown was pretty cool

Lovely and beautiful images, my friend, and the Jazz mural is my favourite. I even like the first image of them more, where they look like playing behind the trees and the house.

Yeah, it looks great.

With oculus you mean a vr headset? I have tried the one of my son once and it's amazing. I can imagine that doing workouts with a vr must be quite entertaining ... I should also start doing something to get rid of my winter fat 😅

Yea the quest 2 VR headset
I tried the supernatural trial
It includes flow workouts, boxing workouts and meditation
And yo all kinds if genres of music

Trial expired today so now on a monthly subscription but for me it’s worth it

Meditation sounds great to me, although I sleep very well at the moment because of much work 😁

Sorry for the late reply, JJ, but I have been offline yesterday and didn't have any time at work today.

If I do some workout from time to time I'm usually watching YouTube videos - if I would do workouts with a VR headset I would entertain my whole family, unless I would lock myself in the bedroom 😂 !LOLZ

The meditation I haven’t tried yet
And no worries for delay I hope all is well

Im sure if anyone saw me doing the VR they would laugh so I do it early morning in the sunroom where no one sees me lol

I'm sure I would sleep within a minute because I have tried such before and it worked just that way 😴

I'm fine, but I'm quite tired from work at the moment so that I mostly don't even want to turn the computer on when I come home.

But I think I'll ask my son to lend me that thing to try it once again ... alone 😁

I think it would be the same for me, My wife can do meditation but as I say, I have two speeds full speed or sleep, meditation would put me to sleep real quick
I hope things quieten down for you soon

I think chances are you Son has Beat Saber on his Oculus, thats not to bad for a bit of fun and exercise

Great street art. One of the things I will miss after moving to a rural area. The vibrancy that creates good street art usually goes with all the great city amenities like good food, good music, interesting cafes, etc. I like the first shot best. It is really playful and does make you smile.

I thought when I retired and stopped working in NYC that I would miss the street art but luckily here there is plenty
But a rural area would not have as much for sure

But it also doesn’t have the craziness of a big city
