Birds of a feather flock together
This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.
As for the title it came in my head as I was editing this photo
Birds of a feather flock together is an English proverb.
The meaning is that beings ie people of similar type, interest, personality, character, or other distinctive attribute tend to mutually associate.
The phrase ‘birds of a feather flock together’ is at least over 470 years old. It was in use as far back as the mid-16th century. William Turner is said to have used a version of this expression in the Rescuing of Romish Fox, from the year 1545:
“Byrdes of on kynde and color flok and flye allwayes together.”
I guess it is tied to we often see groups of birds flying together, and when used as a saying it implies how most people have a tendency to hang around and mix with people who have similar thoughts, I think with social media today it is perhaps even more true, I see many who base their opinions on so many things on what they see online and take it to prove their point of view, when perhaps all it proves is they only follow people who have similar thoughts to theirs.
Perhaps its all part of me always being a rebel but I make a point of following people from all ends of the spectrum on various subjects myself and also do my own research on sources from all ends of the spectrum as well and form my own opinions.
OK as I sometimes do I have again waffled on to start this post so lets get to the photos
