Popes Island

Good Morning and have a great day

Today I will share a few shots from a walk I did on Popes Island a little while back, I remember the day I took this walk, it had bene rainy for a few days and I hadnt bene out for a walk, and this morning it was cloudy and moody and a bit chilly compared to recent days, of course not chilly compared to what is ahead with winter approaching in the not to distant future, but i headed out anyway, and decided to go to Popes Island and I wanted to get a good walk in and I generally walk back and forth quite a bit when I visit there

A lot of the back and forth is across this bridge a few times its the bridge betweem a small island called fish Island and Opes Island and has the Swing truss bridge on it

and I always walk along near the matina where i park my car looking at a mix of boats in this view some of the commercial fishing boats

and in the Marina some private boats some really ice ones there, with it being moody that morning perhaps both the weather and my mood that day I wasnt totally happy with the shots I captured and played around with different styles of editing for some of these

and back on the bridge again, standing just before the swing truss portion of the bridge

now I know that the time when I took this was about 5:45 in the morning, as the bridge normally opens onthe hour to let the boats head out, and I had planned to get back in my car and across the bridge before it opened, but this day they opened it at about 5:40 and there was quite a line of boats that headed out fso it was open for a good while
