Some Boats at the Wharf in Mattapoisett

For todays post I am sharing a few photos of boats at the Mattapoisett Town Wharf, which is a short drive from where I live.

These shots are from an early morning visit there last year.
Now I guess with all the times I visit the Port in New Bedford of wharfs Like this one that I must have or want a boat, but actually that's not the case, I wouldn't mind going out on a boat again sometime, but have no interest to own one myself, perhaps partly because my wife has a fear of being on boats so would never go on it, and for me I enjoy walking along the shore, in a port and such just to see the boats, I hate sittign still for very long, so being stuck on a boat for a prolonged time especially a small one could possible drive me nuts.
Well maybe not if cruising along the coast enjoying the changing views, but sitting in a spot to fish, yeah that would drive me nuts, I would wan toff and to be walking about

At the time I visited this wharf there was a ice mix of boats in the docks as I will share here

A variety of styles and no doubt budgets, I love the reflection of this one

Of course the other reason I haven't considered buying a boat is the cost, perhaps this one would be at the top end of my budget, but more likely a cheap canoe or Kayak would be all my budget could stretch to

Besides capturing amazing sky you do wonderful reflection as well @tattoodjay these are magnificent. I do love that orangeypink of sunrise and sunset, it's always so amazing in real life I think, 'people would think the saturation is turned up ,but it's just real life' :)

Those look like some great boats. I'd love to have one like the one in the second picture. Even the third picture although it looks a little older. My buddy is selling his boat this year, so I am not sure how much fishing is going to be in my future. I guess it depends on whether or not he buys a new one. He might wait a while because after the dams broke last year, there aren't any small lakes close to take it out in anymore.

The colours in the first shot are amazingly beautiful, JJ, but the reflections are my favourite today, especially the warm tones in the fire rescue boat image.

So beautiful the colours in the first photograph.
Yes… owning a boat is something else… like you I live close to the sea and it’s harbours. But don’t want to own a boat.

The photographs of the fire rescue boat and its reflections is something else… love it. It is stunning. The warm colour to it too.
