Sublime and Beautiful Sunday As the Sun Sets at Fort Phoenix

before I get into todays post let me give an update on yesterdays blizzard, well it met the weather forecasters predictions, we got well over a foot and with the wind the drifts in spots in our backyard look well over 5 feet in places, we coped well we only lost power for about 4 hours so not to bad at all as some still are without power.
No photos of it as I haven't been out yet, well I did go out briefly yesterday evening to shovel some snow but it was still so windy and to be honest I struggled a little my Shoulder wasn't feeling good and I decided to be sensible, very unusual for me I know and wait till this morning, and I just saw a post on Farcebook of someone who will come and clear snow for a fee, waiting to hear back from them I may take the easy way out and pay someone to clear our yard, walkways and paths, as I am sure leaving it over night and with the temps around 10F -12C at the moment the snow is probably pretty icy now

I do not get out to often to catch sunsets, this is one from a couple of weeks ago or perhaps longer, and I always find a sunset, or sunrise over water special and beautiful, and what is perhaps sublime about this post is that I have the photos finally ready to share, but let me first share the first photo and then explain why

These shots were from a walk at Fort Phoenix in Fairhaven one evening, an almost full moon in the sky

Now I thought I had some issue with a sticking key on my keyboard or some issue with lightroom, as as I was scrolling through my photos in lightroom the tint or temperature on the photos was changing every times, I cleaned my keyboard, disconnected my tablet, shut down the computer and restarted and it still kept happening, driving me a little bit crazy, well crazier than I already am :)
I must have spent an hour or more readjusting the tint o these and other photos and trying to work out what the heck was going on, and then Like a light being turned on it became obvious to me what had happened.

Our grandkids come and spend time here with us once or twice a week, and the grandson come sup to my little office and plays on the PlayStation and on my computer, and must have rearranged my desk a bit last time he was here and I did not notice that the cable for the mouse had been moved so it was running over the Loupedeck editing console I have running against the tint and Temp control wheels.
Duh did I feel stupid that it took me so long to work that out, but now feeling sublime and happy I have and can finish writing this post.
So back to my walk that evening, Looking over the green field a beach of the the left and the moon in the sky

As I was there early before the sun was due to set, I took a stroll along the beach not taking many photos getting some steps in, when I got back to the same green field as the previous image but the ducks and seagulls had laid claim to the field, the sun coming down and some colors coming out in the sky

I walked along to the Hurricane Barrier that curves out and meets the Hurricane barrier walls from the New Bedford side

On the walkway on the Hurricane barrier Wall, looking back into the Fort phoenix Park

As the sun was about to set the colors started to come out nicely

And then faded away and I wondered if that was all the colors Mother nature would give us that evening

But clearly she had more for us as the sun dipped below the horizon the colors came out even stronger

Leading to this last shot, looking over the Gateway in the Hurricane walls for boats to pass through, I liked the mix of warm colors and dramatic clouds at this time
