Sublime and Beautiful Sunday on a cold day thinking warm
This post is for #SublimeSunday is inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday is initiated by @ace108.
ON a cool morning here the temp outside is about 12 below freezing point so no way am I going out for a walk in thatm, the weather has been a real tease of recent, the few days with relatively warmer temps even one up tothe mid 60s which temp wise would have been great for a walk its either been rainy or gale force winds, the nice sunny days are with low temps.
Y steps have sure dropped since it cooled down, but today as I prepare this draft I decided its time for me to step it up so my wieght doesnt balloon over winter and fired up my VR headset and did a 45 minute VR workout to start the day, was good to get my heart rate up burn some calories and even got steps in while doing the workout so will hit my goal today.
Speaking of being frustrated not getting out led me to find some shots from warmer days, and for that matter warmer colors from a visit to Brooklan park back in fall.
Its a park near to where our DFaughter in Law used to work in a hair salon and whenver i dropped my wife off to get her hair down this is one of the spots I would go for a walk in, now that the Daughter in law had quit hairdressign and is working in another field my wife goes elsewhere so I do not visit this park as mush, but still pop there occassionally its a beautiful park
Let me share a little about it
In an effort to remove himself from the bustle of the city’s center, the prominent New Bedford Quaker, Daniel Ricketson built a country estate in what is now Brooklawn Park. Literary greats, such as Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson, often visited Ricketson at his estate. Responding to the needs of a rapidly growing population due to the success of the textile industry, this land became a city park at the end of the 19th century. This 85 acre park is a multi-use complex which features 6-baseball and 2-softball fields, 2-basketball and 4-tennis courts, a skate park, playground, splash-pad, nature & cross country running trails. It is home to the Bay State Girls Softball League, the Whaling City Youth Baseball League and New Bedford Pony League Baseball.
