Well done @tattoodjay and I'm always cursing myself for not having my camera ready as I watch osprey most mornings fishing, we're lucky they really inhabit our little bit of seaside here, so they have flown within feet of the big main windows looking onto the sea. We always talk of setting up a gogro or something just to let it run and catch all the action. I'm always impressed with the size fish they catch! and love how they hold them sideways, like a banner, to stop wind resistance. Amazing hunters.

Yes that IS a catbird, I love them, we've those as well and they are so amusing at copying all the birds songs, but their own song is funny and very like a cat Screeching (thus their name) I've watched them go through a series of bird song, one right after the other. Happy #SublimeSunday

It was the sounds that the catbirds make that gave me a clue to what type they are

Everyone who has a big camera in hand has always been obsessed with the osprey bird that flies with the big fish at its feet. It's an obsession with achieving the best, even those who are pro in camera and you actually did it today.
Weldone Sir.

I still remember your original post a while back, and it hasn't been that long since you've had a big camera. You only get photos of osprey landing in their nest on a pole and it turns out you are very quick to learn and adapt to your big camera.

You are one step away, should be called a pro.

And here is the same Osprey complete with the fish which my granddaughter tells me is a Bass, how she knows that from a game she plays on her Nintendo Switch animal crossing

That is a video game series I have not tried so far, but looks like it is worth playing, because it has educational content.

I heard that some people put hundreds of hours into one episode of this video game series, so I can imagine that the players are learning things, which are useful/helpful in real life.

That is such a great capture!. You have got to be happy, a most coveted shot when seeking out osprey. I think birding is one of those skills that grows over time, as one becomes familiar with habits, fishing and nesting spots and everything else. Creatures of habit.

I think it is a shot to be proud of, just as you probably were when you captured it!

Really great selection of shots. The Osprey carrying the fish is really neat, I had some similar shots a couple of years back but couldn't get quite as close. Nicely done.
