Good Tuesday, tree lovers!
Here's a simple shot for the #treetuesday initiative by @old-guy-photos. This photo was taken next to the little town of Parabispo right outside of Melide, along the Caminho de Santiago (St. James Way).
I don't even know if Parabispo can be considered to be a town... since in the last census survey it was noted that there were only 2 people living there. 😆
The pilgrims must walk a lot of miles to reach their final destination, many of those under a scorching sun. So it's always welcome when the trees form a natural tunnel with plenty of shade.
On hot sunny days, walking under these tall trees feels very nice, even more with all the chirping birds around you. It's quite common to see people stopping for a while and rest in such spots before moving on with their journey. Others take the opportunity to make a small picnic.
I have never walked this path... but it seems to be a great experience. Who knows? Maybe some day I will.
