Namaste!
These are pictures from some time ago when one day while I was walking in the park I saw this plant in the middle of a grassy ground which was growing in the ground like a some vine. I found this plant different and unique in terms of growing at this place because two plants growing and looking like this are also enhancing the beauty of my home garden. You might just notice a slight difference in their appearance, and that too because the plants in my garden are grown in limited soil and space in the pots, whereas the plants in this park have no shortage of soil and space.
But anyway, I will show you the plants in my garden some other day because right now I am busy shifting my house and everything here is very messed up. Shifting house is a much more difficult and laborious task than I thought and I am now understanding this practically.
Coming back to today's topic, now due to the appearance of this plant, I was curious to know which plant it was, so I asked google lens and came to know that this plant is not some wild weed but a flowering herb.
Common name of this plant is Roundlead Bindweed and in Sanskrit language it is known as Akuparni and Mushakarni means resembling rats ears, probably referring to the shape of the leaves.
After every few leaves, fresh roots come out from the vine which again come in contact with the soil and provide more strength to the plant and in this way the vine continues to grow.
Along with this a very cute little white colored flower also blooms on it, whose shape is similar to that of Morning Glory flower but is much smaller in size than that. I saw this vine completely but at present not a single flower had bloomed on it. Then I read more about it and I came to know that flowers bloom on it only from October to January.
As I mentioned in the beginning, tese photos were taken some time back, If I go to the same place now or by the end of this month, I hope I will find many flowers blooming on this vine and if that happens then I will definitely show all those beautiful flowers to you all. 💮
I hope you liked my Discovery and Phone Photography!🙏🏼
