American muscle meet in Velenje, sLOVEnia

Can't believe it will already be two weeks ago since I gathered together with good old friends and went on a car meet. Not just ordinary one or so I first thought, it was an American car meet full of old timers, young timers, choppers and everything in between.

On first glimpse I didn't even know here in tiny Slovenia and it's surroundings there is so many American car lovers. We drove to a tiny city called Velenje, only a short 20 minute drive to there and parked the car as soon as we found a free spot, near beautiful lake Velenje. There were at least 100 cars and at least 50 choppers if not more. We got there at 5 pm right when we got to the first cars they all started their engines and started heavily reving the engines. It truly did feel like I teleported for at least 5000 kilometers for those two hours. The sound, petrol fumes in the air that completely eliminated the weird smell of neareby still active coal mine and the energy around this meet was truly unique and amazing.

Seen many things anything I did recognize, was from one of more movies. There were minivans, highly modified rat rods, finely tuned classics like the blue Ford Mustang 1967 and of course a car I thought I might never see in real life... a DMC DeLorean

It was an amazing quality time spent with good old buddies, a glass of cold one and filled with American vibes all over, even the smells in the car's are very different than I'm used too and I love old cars, that's why I drive 22+ years old Passat :)

We had a really good time, hope you also enjoyed 'going for a walk' with me. Special day that will remain in good memories.

I'm super grateful to be able to go, to be alive in such an amazing time, that I'm healthy, that we had a great weather, got friends, that I enjoy working at my job, that I can think, invest in myself, have ability to dream and have set my goals with focus on them.

Photos were made with my Samsung Galaxy A52s with a very nice sunny weather, so the quality is not the best, been focused more on present moment. :)
