Hey Rockstars,
Been Slacking on my posts lately, just haven't had the time. It's December rush, and everyone wants their work before they go on leave - the kid is on summer holidays, so my time is not my time. So, I'm just doing what I can.
I have been grinding away at Rising Star as much as I can, and look what I scored in my latest pack.
The L69 Moody Mellotron!
Another legendary - couldn't believe my luck! I know the game crew are lovers of placing easter eggs in the cards, so I didn't do a little bit of digging and found the hidden meaning.
The Description "silky as white satin on a warm summer night" is lyrics from Nights in White Satin by The Moody Blues. The moody card title was a dead giveaway. So i asked who were the moody blues!

The Moody Blues
The Moody Blues were a British rock band that emerged during the mid-1960s and became synonymous with the progressive rock genre.
The band had a distinctive sound and was known for their philosophical lyrics and their creative use of use non-traditional rock instruments like the mellotron, which gave them a unique style.
Nights in White Satin was first released as a single from their album "Days of Future Passed" in 1967. Not only was this The Moody Blues' biggest hit, but it was also one of the best singles on the music charts around the world in the 1960s.
Let's have a listen.
What do you think about the Moody Blues?
I was a Moody Blues virgin before today. I can see how this was a hit in the '60s, though. Deep, meaningful lyrics with a new sound using various orchestral instruments to create a melancholy atmosphere or rather feeling.
Honest thought that this is a little too deport for me. But maybe it's just my mood right now. What did you think? I'd like to get to know your thoughts...
Till next time, Keep Rocking
Much love from Sunny Cape Town, @Mimismartypants
