Hello Everyone,
After twelve days of the cannabis clone experiment, some roots have begun forming on one of the two Lemon Drip cannabis plant clippings.
The purpose of this experiment is to test how well a semi transparent vase works against a solid color vase for root production, overall success rate, and if algae forms in the semi transparent vase.
To only run the experiment one time with two vases will not give accurate data, but would need to be conducted multiple times with the same controlled setting(s), and utilizing more vases would expedite the amount of data collected, reaching more conclusive results faster. For now I will use one vase at a time and continue testing over and over. In this particular controlled environment the difference is not yet calculable or noticeable. No signs of algae as of yet.
The clear vase was the one to shoot roots first, a couple of nights ago. The cannabis plant in the green vase has not shown any signs of root growth. This could be due to many factors. The length of the stalk varies between the two plants, and could have been a factor. I will leave the plant in the green vase for now to see if it eventually shoots roots.
So far the inconclusive evidence suggests the semi transparent vase works better, based on the success being 1 for the semi transparent vase and 0 (so far) for the green vase. I'm sure we cannot conclude the semi transparent vase works better for sure and we'll need to run many more trials of the experiment, preferably with more vases to multiply the data set.
The rest of the cannabis plants are doing great!
The Big Mac Superstar is shining bright today with giant buds all over the place. Even more exciting is the fact that only about thirty percent brown pistil coverage is apparent, indicating much more bud growth and maturation is on the way. The big white pistils make the plant appear hairy and mammoth looking. She smells very fruity with a pungent skunky undertone that is difficult to describe.
I'm so excited to be growing this Big Mac Superstar, she's really a magnificent plant, and it's an honor to share space with her and watch her grow.
That will do it for today.
What do you all think of this cannabis clone experiment and how the Big Mac Superstar is coming along?
I would love to read your thoughts in the comments!
