Indoor Garden Update - Cannabis Clone Experiment

in #hive-1957082 years ago

Hello Everyone,

After twelve days of the cannabis clone experiment, some roots have begun forming on one of the two Lemon Drip cannabis plant clippings.

The purpose of this experiment is to test how well a semi transparent vase works against a solid color vase for root production, overall success rate, and if algae forms in the semi transparent vase.

To only run the experiment one time with two vases will not give accurate data, but would need to be conducted multiple times with the same controlled setting(s), and utilizing more vases would expedite the amount of data collected, reaching more conclusive results faster. For now I will use one vase at a time and continue testing over and over. In this particular controlled environment the difference is not yet calculable or noticeable. No signs of algae as of yet.

The clear vase was the one to shoot roots first, a couple of nights ago. The cannabis plant in the green vase has not shown any signs of root growth. This could be due to many factors. The length of the stalk varies between the two plants, and could have been a factor. I will leave the plant in the green vase for now to see if it eventually shoots roots.

So far the inconclusive evidence suggests the semi transparent vase works better, based on the success being 1 for the semi transparent vase and 0 (so far) for the green vase. I'm sure we cannot conclude the semi transparent vase works better for sure and we'll need to run many more trials of the experiment, preferably with more vases to multiply the data set.

The rest of the cannabis plants are doing great!

The Big Mac Superstar is shining bright today with giant buds all over the place. Even more exciting is the fact that only about thirty percent brown pistil coverage is apparent, indicating much more bud growth and maturation is on the way. The big white pistils make the plant appear hairy and mammoth looking. She smells very fruity with a pungent skunky undertone that is difficult to describe.

I'm so excited to be growing this Big Mac Superstar, she's really a magnificent plant, and it's an honor to share space with her and watch her grow.

That will do it for today.

What do you all think of this cannabis clone experiment and how the Big Mac Superstar is coming along?

I would love to read your thoughts in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day! -@futuremind

Cool experiment. Those roots are forming nice, and the BMS is chunking!

Thanks so much!
I'm so excited about cloning, especially because I have a few healthy clones of that beautiful budding BMS, so we will see more plants just like this one in the future :)

This is something I wish to grow in my backyard because it's an ideal natural remedy for efficient hair growth. They look so healthy and I'm so oppressed that I don't have any.

I hope you will be able to do this eventually, best wishes to you, thank you for the kind reflection :)

I hope you will be able to do this eventually,

I hope so too🥺.

thank you for the kind reflection :)

'Twas a pleasure

Become an activist for medical usage. Start speaking out and get others the knowledge on why this plant contains the healing powers for the people....

I'd definitely love to do that but it'll be more special if I have my own images to spice up my post instead of using images that need to be properly sourced. So I'm looking forward to buying a seedling and showing my process from scratch then it'll be much fun. Thanks for the advice. I really appreciate 🥰

Actually if you are an activist you cannot grow and you have to be super careful because of persecution.

A lot of activists are actually 100% sober.

It takes a lot of willpower for people to live that life in prohibition areas.

However if you cite your sources and provide information to people?

If you can start a medical exemption so that you can help treat your community members suffering from numerous ailments.

A semi-transparent vase is more suitable, but for the problem of algae there is radical solution for it?

Hello, thank you for stopping by @menox98!
I don't know of any radical solutions for it. In artificial environments like this, algae hasn't presented itself to me so far.

I love to smell the wonderful fruity scent. Great experience and beautiful green big sprouts

Thank you so much!

I would have thought that roots grow better in the dark but it seems not

Hey @nikv!
I've always thought light damages roots and darkness is a better environment to grow them. I find this a little strange but I'm happy the clippings are rooting :)

Thank you for stopping by my friend :)

Prolly cause the translucent one is getting more light.. just a thought..

That's prolly what it is bro

This is a super cool mad scientist experiment

Thank you.

Awesome!!!!

Told you so.

And I can't wait to see more of your mad scientist experiments.

Saran wrap over a small cup and just a little bit of water to cover the small area.

Boom.

Start trying variations with artificial light as well as being in the sunlight.

Absolutely really good 12 days is absolutely excellent my shot glass with plastic wrap and a tiny little bit of water got roots in 3 days.

You never know there's some awesome plants out there and I think you're going to be a master clone technician here pretty quick.

Awesome post! I can't wait to see the further scientific mad scientist cloning adventures.

Bravo absolutely phenomenal job.

Thank you for the compliment @ganjafarmer, I appreciate the tips and advice.
It's a work in progress, I hope to be a master clone technician someday.

I'd say you just hit advanced...

Awesome job. Awesome post. And killer information.

This is how you get it. Experiment. Try and fail. Keep going. Learn...

Just wait.... That master clone technician isn't that far away and you passing on this info and being able to prove your knowledge? Priceless.

Bravo. Blaze it!

Uh... this all lookd fresh and good 😋👌👌👌👌☕ ... hard is find more good words .

Thanks so much @foxkoit, it's smells fresh and good too :)

I'm 100 % sure it smells good 🤭👌👌 ... one day I have my own plants like this.
