Welcome to this great afritunes community. This is week 120 and I am very happy that I made it for this contest.
As usual I will be making a cover of an Igbo song because I love promoting African music with good meaning and moral lessons.
At first I thought of doing an Hausa song because I love Hausa language, but on a second thought I changed my mind and decided to go for Igbo song to promote my mother tongue. Hahaha 😂. Hope I am not too selfish? Sometimes we just need to be ourselves. This is who I am.
MY MOTIVATION TO THE SONG:
For me any song that praises my God have enough motivation in it. I love worshipping God in all honesty. He has done way too much for me and I believe that the only thing that I can give to him in appreciation is worship. In fact that is the only gift He can accept from me. No money or car and even house gift is acceptable by God. Just praise and I will be happy.
By the way this is the middle of the year and it is my first child's birthday month. This is also a way of thanking God because it was this same month that I was blessed with my first child. Happy birthday 🎉 to my sweet heart baby girl. My best friend. My love. Thank God for giving you to me as a gift. ( Mummy's girl)
Here goes the lyrics. I wrote it myself
Jehovah I di ebube na ebe m no
Jehovah, aaaaa I di ebube
Jehovah I di ebube na ebe m no
Jehovah, aaaaa I di ebube
Na eligwe, I but eze
Na eluwa I nachi achi
Na ala mmo I buy dike nagha
Johovah I do ebube
English translation
Jehovah, you are glorious
Jehovah, you are glorious
In heaven, you are king
On earth, you reign
I'm the world below
You are a mighty man I'm battle
Jehovah you are glorious
Thanks to everyone who made it to my blog. You blessings shall know no bounds.
