Music is known as the food for the soul because it has the tendency to ignite a fire deep within and change mood from gloomy to happy. I have been in love with music since I could understand what music iis and that ccame from listening to songs on my dad's radio set back in the day. There are certain genres that draw me in immediately I hear them play and there are some that ticks me off immediately.
Here in this post, I will be sharing a particular song that I can infer to be my all time favourite while I was growing up till date. This song is about love, happiness and togetherness and it always causes my whole body to tingle anytime I listen to it. "Have you ever done something silly whenever your favourite tune popped up, irrespective of where you are?" Well I'm unashamed to say that this little missy has done a lot of silly things whenever this favourite tune of mine pops up. The silly things I mean could be, dancing on my seat in a commercial vehicle, or singing out loud in off key to the tune I'm listening to and getting my colleagues to cover their ears hehe.
One thing I'm so sure of is that once this tune starts playing either from my phone or a radio playlist, everything comes alive for me and I just want to get into the love mood. No matter where I am, this song has the potential to make me sway my hips from side to side. Sometimes I put the song on repeat from dusk to dawn and from dawn to dusk. Yes! I'm a die hard romantic who believes in love and celebrates all its beauties. Love is beautiful and I know that sometimes one might not get it right the first time but we should not stop believing in love.
Now before I bore you all with my old stories of romance and off key notes, let me introduce you to my favourite tune of all time, since its release in the year 2006 ( eighteen years now). I know it is old school but that song has still got its vibes and there is no one who listens to it who wouldn't be drawn in, especially romantic gurus like me. This favourite tune of mine was sang by Tosin Martins and I will be leaving a video link below for your enjoyment.
Olo mi by Tosin Martins
Even though the song was sang in the Yoruba dialect, it doesn't hinder the vibe from vibing 😁 nor the soul from understanding the message of love in it. One advice to you all is that you listen to the song with an open mind and allow the flow of the vibes touch your soul, spirit and body, I promise you will be put in the love mood 😁.
@fashtioluwa, @princessbusayo and @rukkie should come and interpret the song for us or better still do a cover in full English version 😂😂😂.
Thanks for reading and listening. Enjoy the rest of the week guys!
This is my entry into the #septemberinleo monthly initiative for day10.
