Welcome to AfriTunes week 72. I'm delighted to join this week's entry. My examination is ongoing, that's why I've been less active.
It's been tough but I'm doing just fine.
On my quest to share amazing African Tunes with y'all, today I'm presenting a very nice love song by P-square. I hope you people still remember that I said I'm a lover-girl š so from time to time, I'll be bringing sweet love songs your way.
The title of the song is Beautiful Onyinye. It is about the singer's lover who the singer is very happy with and proud of, and he's also willing to marry her sharpenly! š He beckons his parents and family to celebrate with him.
The song is very very refreshing because if we pay close attention to it, we'd realize the artist hints on the effort the girl is making to make their relationship work which makes him believe their love is real.
"The way she keeps me smiling,
It brings me joy
She proves this loving is realā¦"
This shows how important efforts are in a relationship. A relationship cannot work without each party making a conscious effort to do so. I hope you find the song refreshing as well.
Lyrics
Beautiful Onyinye
Nimo bimo, obimo
I was feeling so sad
Because I was all alone was so
Bad, so bad
And there she goes, there she goes
She touched my heart and said
Ebezina nozugo, oh oh
Ay, was so glad...
The way she
Keeps me smiling
It brings me joy she proves this
Loving is real
Within my heart there's nobody else
Baby give me your hand, give
Me you hand
Let me take you away
Mommy meh eh eh eh eh
Nne meh yeah see the girl I wan marry
No time no delay eh eh
After all the things I've been
Through
I present my love to you
The girl I wan marry eh
The girl I wan marry eh
See the girl I wan carry eh
Na the girl I wan marry
[P-Square:]
Oruonanu nomume, nomume
Omalicha nwa
What a beautiful onyinye eh nne

So you and I can fly away ay ay eh
Straight to the sky ee, just you and I I I
Girl I no deny, can't you see hee hee
You were sent from above and you know

Is this love? Is this love? I don't know
But I know what I'm feeling ay
Na God be my witness
