Hello guys, hi everyone. Welcome to afri leo initiative, my name is @edwincj and I am happy and excited to be participating in this weeks weekly engagement. This week has been great and I have been enjoying every bit of it, and I also thank God for keeping alive to see this wonderful week and I also pray that he will keep us to see this Christmas and many more.
This week I am going to be talking on the topic that was given to us, it is a very amazing topic which has something to do with each and every one of us generally. So I will be sharing my thoughts and opinion about the topic that was given to us. The topic that was given to us is "DOES LISTENING TO SECULAR MUSIC HAVE EFFECT ON YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE?". The topic is really interesting and amazing, so I would love us to dive into it immediately, and I would also love you all to participate in this week entry so that i can learn from your entry too.
First of all, secular music and spiritual life have almost nothing to do with each other because the are almost opposite of each other. Since the are not relating to each other, it is almost impossible for me to listen to secular music and my spiritual life still being intact and un touched, but I can say that it depends, there are some music that are not generally gospel, and at the same they are not full of negative lyrics, they are just educative and they teach few moral stuffs through their music.
Well there some secular music which I don't refer to as secular, because the don't affect my spiritual life, how I mean it is that try are not full of bad or negative meaning, they are just entertaining and most of them are also educative, I listen to those songs and for me although the are secular, I dont see them as such and i listen to them without them affecting me and my spiritual life or spirituality.
Everyone has their definition of secular, but for me secular music are music that mostly are uneducative, and the are full of negative lyrics and meaning. I do love gospel music more than secular music because the uplift my spirit and it always have positive effect on my spirit life. This is all I can say about this topic, I hope to see your own entry so that I can learn from yours, and I also hope that you learn from mine.
