It's been months since I last submitted an entry on this platform and even on the hive blockchain as a whole. If I wanna start writing my reasons, it will be way too long and I don't wanna bore you with them. But the truth is, it wasn't easy with me and life happened, I overcame and I'm fine now.
Once again I wish us all a Happy and a prosperous New year. We are approaching the first quarter of the year and with the way things are going in our country, a lot of people are at the verge of giving up in life. The prices of goods are sky rocketing and the quantities decreasing, making them not worth the prices they are sold for. A lot is happening, the poor are getting poorer and the rich, richer.
For my entry, I decided to do a medley of three songs, Give Me You by Shana Wilson, Breathe by Dunsin Onyekan, and Who Am I (don't really know the name of the song and the artiste). I so enjoy the medley of these three songs a lot because I usually feel good whenever I sing it. The songs are interconnected as they all express a deep longing for God's presence and love. The lyrics of the song, "Give Me You", convey a desire to surrender everything to God, asking for His guidance and grace. At this point of our lives, we have to be willing to let go of everything else in life in exchange for a closer relationship with God.
The second song, "Breathe", by Dunsin Oyekan, also emphasizes the need for God's presence in our lives. The lyrics speak of a desire to experience God's breath, life, and spirit. Breathe is a prayerful request for God to breathe new life, hope, and purpose into our lives, acknowledging that true fulfillment can only come from God Himself.
The last song ,"Who Am I", is one that reflects on the overwhelming love and mercy of God. The lyrics express awe and wonder at the fact that despite our human flaws and limitations, God still cares deeply for us. The song emphasizes gratitude for God's love and grace, recognizing that it is a privilege to be loved and cared for by the Creator of the universe. It is a humble acknowledgment of God's goodness and faithfulness in spite of our unworthiness.
These three songs are not sang in full. There are just a combination of the first verse and chorus. Thank you for reading and listening to my video. I hope you enjoyed it?
LYRICS OF WHO AM I
Who am I
That you're mindful of me
Who am I
That you love me this way
Not for my good deeds
Not for how good I am
Who am I
That you love me this way.
