Hello, wonderful people of the Afri-Tune. I must say I am very excited to share with you my best songs for the year 2024. This song isn’t one I trivialize or listen to just for the fun of it, but I believe they have gone as far as shaping my life in such a great way, and in no particular order, let’s have it.

One of the songs that I believe deserves my first recognition is a song by Dunsin Oyekan titled Breathe. This was one song I encountered in the beginning of the year 2024. A little confession, if I may: I entered the year 2024 as a lost child really trying to find her identity and all, and one Sunday, during services, as the choir ministered this song during service, I had to go back home that night and listen to it because it really spoke to me, and I don’t know if it was the anointing minister Dunsin carries, but I felt a part of my heart open, hope like I have never felt before, and even though I was still confused, I knew for sure there’s light at the end of the tunnel. As a matter of fact, that song was one of the reasons I felt the presence in a while, and I knew it was the beginning of a new chapter with my father.

Another of my favorite songs just has to be New Generations by Ebuka Songs ft. Moses Bliss. Because, I mean, why not? It has a good beat, good lyrics, and it's catchy, but for me it’s more of a declaration, so I love it absolutely.

Thirdly, You are Great by Moses Bliss and so many other artists, including the likes of Neeja. I have to confess I love the song just because it is danceable. It is a really nice praise, and I really love praise songs.

Amayanabo by Prinx Emmanuel, which is a really soul-lifting song for me. It reminds me of my first days at the university and how sad I was whenever I felt I needed to withdraw. I would block my two ears and listen to this particular song.

Truthfully speaking, with my love for music, I could go on and on mentioning songs and never finish the list is truly unending. I just love music.

But I have one last song I would like you to listen to if you can, as I’m sure it will bless you. It has been more like an anthem, and although it’s not African music, I believe it deserves a chance. It reminds me that, amid all the space in my life, I am not alone. Even when I try too hard to do it all by myself, I am never truly alone; he is always here. Psalm 23 by People and Songs ft. Josh Sherman.

Thank you for going through the list with me till next time I still remain @gemangel .
