Hi Afritunes community weeek119, I'm back with my weekly presentation today, kindly sing along ☺️.
Imela means thank you in the Igbo language, one of the tribes in Nigeria. This song was the first song of Nathaniel Bassey that I learnt back then, the first time I heard the song, I was so in tune with it that I had to start learning it almost immediately, I put it on repeat on my phone and then I made ity ring tune.
It's a very inspiring song that appreciates God for all His kindness towards me personally.
The part that really gets me is where he said :
I could not some near your presence, I could never sing your song, but the sacrifice on Calvary's tree has made a way to enter into your throne. That reminds me of how much sacrifice Christ paid for m, you know I have to really personalize this because, this song may mean something else to any other person but to me, it connects me in the place of prayer.
Imela! Imela! Imela! I really can't stop saying thank you Lord, for everything that has been going on for me, life is full of it's ups and downs but God has always been faithful to me no matter the circumstances.
The instruments played in the song also was so amazing, and I usually love songs with powerful lyrics, this was what inspired me to pick this song for this weeks post.
I hope everyone listening to my music gets the same inspiration and heart of gratitude that it brings to me on daily basis.
Thanks for taking your time to listen, do have a great day.
