Prior to the emergence of the recent trending Nigerian gospel song on social media space - Joy in Chaos, I've always lived my life following the words of the lyrics. That's why when I first listened to the song I could easily relate with the lyrics, because it was not only theoretical, but also experiential. In fact, it has become my national anthem.
Amidst all the struggles, hardship and difficulties I've experienced, I've always sought for peace and happiness within or externally. Sometimes it becomes so great as if it'll last forever, but then I've always had great confidence that my God won't put me to shame. Deep down, I've always believed that the phase was just momentary and won't last long, and I still believe so.
God remains ever faithful amidst my unfaithfulness and sinfulness, and in him I put my trust at all times.
He hasn't failed me and He will not fail me!
I hope you enjoy this piece.
LYRICS
I've still got joy in chaos
I've got peace that makes no sense
And I won't be goin' under
I'm not held by my own strength
'Cause I've built my life on Jesus
He's never let me down
He's faithful through every season
So why would He fail now?
He won't
