AFRITUNES WEEK 67|HALLELUJA CHALLENGE BY NATHANIEL BASSEY| ACOUSTIC COVER
Hello to you all, Lovely African music lovers, how are you guys doing? It is indeed a great week and another opportunity to celebrate our African-oriented tunes and music. As always, let me take a short moment to felicitate and recognize the efforts of our admin and all those making sure that the @afritunes community affairs Run Smoothly. Personalities like @ksam, @obaro, @starstrings01 and @ovey10.
In this brand new week, I choose to present a conjunto of halleluja songs as presented by the famous gospel artist in Nigeria, known as Nathaniel Bassey. He titled this musical release as Hallelujah Challenge and as such, many audiences and fans received this song with joy, giving its melodic ability to move you to dance. this is also one of the major characteristics of African Oriented sounds.
this is not to say that solemn songs do not exist in the AFRO-RYTHYMIC WORLD, only that a vast majority of African songs are marked by their ability to make you want to dance.
when I was pondering about which song to bring to the community this week, I was trying to consider songs with Afro percussion which is also deeply noted by the presence of consistent shakers in the background, this song popped into my mind immediately because it passed as a very Afrocentric song. Apart from the criterion of the percussive style, there is also that of the rhythm, which flows like a typical highlife afro song.
In essence, I hope you enjoy my own representation of this beautiful work by NATHANIEL BASSEY in my own acoustic style with a shaker loop I created in the background.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT!!
