AFRITUNES WEEK 112- ELIJAH BY COBHAMS FT PANTORANKING- A MELODY COVER
Hi lovely friends of Afritunes - I've missed you guys for a very long while. I welcome you all to my blog after a long while of absence. It is a joy to finally be back. As I have done in other communities, my Dad died recently and for that reason I was absent for a while. Long story short, I am back for good because music is also a healing pathway.
Lately I've been very obsessed and interested in Afrooriented music. I think it's not just me. The world also is super interested in Afrobeat right now and it's making waves. I have a feeling that it will grow because people, many artists especially afro artists are making new collaborations and fusions with afrobeat, giving it a neo vibe.
At the top of that list is Cobhams asuquo, a very talented Nigerian who although blind, has made revolutionary input to Afritunes.
Without beating about the bush, today, I wish to present one of his beautiful songs, where he collaborated with PANTORANKING to create a beautiful Afro piece. The title of the song is Eli-Jah.
It's a song about asking God for blessings and the grace to prosper. I think that's a prayer for everyone especially in the musical journey.
Since I'm not in my moods to sing, I decided to present the melody version of the song with my acoustic guitar, in the company of the backing track of the song, created by Moises app.
