AFRITUNES WEEK 80|CHIOMA BY FRANK EDWARDS|AFROBEAT VERSION
Hello guyz, lovers and enthusiasts of African music. I welcome you to this blog with a very big joy. Indeed it has really been a while since I've not been active in our beloved community due to logistical issues. I am super glad to back and to continue celebrating afri-tunes, African music and vibes with you all.
Recently, I traveled many miles away from my usual location and unfortunately I couldn't travel with my musical instrument, of course my dear guitar, and since then I have been a bit hindered from both enjoying my self and bringing you vibez.
Today I bring you a beautiful song of worship by the gospel legend, FRANK EDWARDS. The title of this song is Chioma. A song with a lot and interesting musical conjunctions starting from the alternative chord progressions to the genius song arrangement. "Frank Edwards finis work dia."
The theme of this song circles around gratitude and total self giving to God. And this summarizes the state of mind in which I find my self these days.
Note that the song is normally calm and reflective, yet with so much vibe. But for the purpose of this performance, I sang it in an afrobeat faster version.
I will put a link to this instrumental below.
I am really not used to this pattern, but you know what they say about trying nah, there is no harm in doing it. Infact I think I enjoyed it and I hope you do also.
