Hello afritunes community members and participants.
So gald to be here, to Join the afritunes week #112.
I appreciate this wonderful platform and celebrate African music and music as a whole. This is my first time here.
I am megamo and I am thankful for the privilege to be part of this great family.
I was concerned at first , but I realized, that I am in a right community of friends and Family.
Music is food to the soul . It is an important need to man. Good music keeps the heart warm.
I am thankful for this golden opportunity .
I am inspired to do a cover of a song titled' you are mighty' by Nathaniel Bassey. The verse is in English but the chorus is in Yoruba, one of the major tribe in Nigeria, spoken by western people of Nigeria.
Olorun Agbaye in the chorus means, God of the whole earth.
Shebi iwo lo f'oju Orun
(S'aso bora)
Meaning ,You are the one that used the face of the heaven to cover as a blanket.
Shebi eyin le f'oju Orun
(S'aso bora)
You are the great one that used the face of the heaven as a blanket .
Psalms 93:1(Authorized King James version)
"The Lord reigneth ,he is clothed with majesty:the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself:the world also is stablished ,that it cannot be moved".
Verse 2, says"Thy throne is established of Old thou art from everlasting".
This shows how great and mighty God is. He is the creator of the heaven and the earth. He is powerful and great. There's no problem he can not solve.
No matter the situation or challenges we encounter in life, he is able to see us through.
It assures us that when we put our hope in him our testimonies are sure. 😃
I love the song, The lyrics are simple, sing with me.
Olorun Agbaye - You Are Mighty / Nathaniel Bassey
Wo ye ye ye oh oh
You are Mighty God
Mighty God, Wo ye ye ye oh oh
You are Good, you are kind
You are more than these
I'm lost for Words trying to describe you
Elohim, El-elyon, Aleselewi
Your Greatness is all I see
There is nothing you cannot do
There's no mountain you cannot move
If you have said it
Then you will do it
Cause You have a Track record
Of keeping Words
And you're not about
To stop doing it now
Olorun Agbaye oh
(You are Mighty oh)
Olorun Agbaye oh, oh
(You are Mighty oh)
Shebi iwo lo f'oju Orun
(S'aso bora)
Shebi eyin le f'oju Orun
(S'aso bora)
Olorun Agbaye oh,
(You are Mighty oh)
