Hello to you all my African brothers and sisters. Greetings and compliments of the season to all musicians, creatives, members of the afritunes community. Glad y'all made it to the new year, God who has caused us to see the beginning is gonna make sure we see the very end in Jesus name... So I'm here with my post for week 95, week that cut across two years with some sending their entries in 2023 before the turn of the calendar year. On both sides there have been nice entries so far and here's my own contribution.
I've chosen to do this cover cos there's gonna be a lot of resolutions this period, both those that will be effective and those that won't. Many people say "New year, new system" and I want to encourage actually trying that. A lot of us young people in Africa acknowledge the existence of the almighty God and occasionally offer thanks but combine this with living life in sin, fear, sickness and the likes. Some of us know we do some things that are wrong but tell ourselves stuff like "Even pope sef dey sin", "It is impossible" e.t.c as if the whole point of Jesus coming wasn't to overcome for us... I just want to remind someone reading this that with God nothing is impossible. He is more than able and willing to help us. It doesn't matter the past up to a second ago, just your decision now and your faith. So here's a story to do just that.
The song Agatha tells a very short and interesting story and is by one of the fastest growing rappers here in south-south Nigeria, a protégé of Prinx Emmanuel and very good friend of mine... I had some difficulties doing this one acapella but of course enjoyed making this cover and hope you do too and it speaks to you.
