After work yesterday, I decided to go for a jog and I really want to increase the frequency of how often I do it but I'm just too damn lazy. My legs just can't move as well as they use to and it's simply because I'm out of shape.
I find jogging to be a very tedious exercise and I prefer just playing an actual sport. This is why Badminton has been an integral part of my life since I took it up a couple of years ago.
It has been while since I played, so tomorrow, I've decided that I'll go to a leisure center in town to play. I guess I'm just being unnecessarily whiney but I swear, going to the center is quite tedious.
On the other hand, buying a car would make it a lot easier to get around and attend badminton practice but I've checked the cost of car insurance and that's just not something we can afford now.
I'd like to be a little bit more active in general but at the same time, I simply don't like going outside. So, I'll just have to motivate myself and find ways to reward myself for trying.
One thing that I am proud of is that I've dramatically reduced how much I drink beer. I must admit, my soul still yearns for a taste whenever I'm in the supermarket but I've resisted. I still drink a bit of alcohol but it's a mild gin and tonic that while having the same alcohol percentage as beer, is much smaller in volume.
Dealing with work
Yesterday was a relatively good day in the office. I was on target with my KPI and as long as you're on target, everybody's happy.
I'm slowly adjusting to the anxiety that comes with targets and when I say slowly, I mean snail speed. I still have a lot of anxiety before I get on the phones but a few hours into the day, I find myself dealing with the situation better.
Working is still a hassle but I guess I have to be grateful that I at least get to work from home and not deal with the tediousness that's the outside. Which is why I in fact hate every single Tuesday before it comes and I'm already dreading the though of next week's.
In any case, the weekend is nigh, so regardless of my stat, today will be a good day. I hope I meet friendly customers on the phones and I end the week on a high.
