Now, I'm curious.
Would getting the fourth vaccination help me avoid getting Covid again? I'm aware that it is done to minimise the severity of the symptoms and does not prevent us from contracting the virus itself, yet I still find myself wondering.
As it wasn't mandatory, I recall skipping the fourth one that was offered the previous time and choosing not to go because I didn't want to turn into a zombie. LOL. Kidding aside, I'll admit that since it wasn't required, I became lazy. The queue was terrible.
Do you still wear a mask at your place?
We took off ours, in September last year, It was a relief as breathing came easier and foggy eyeglasses eases up to people like me who wear one. It was so annoying as the more you speak the foggier the eyeglasses gets from your breath.
I also began to forget about COVID as the days passed. I simply went to the clinic when I became ill and did not bother doing the ART Kit test first. COVID was the furthest thing from my mind. The doctor checked on me as usual, gave me some medications to take home, and did not even inquire about it. Prior to having COVID again, everything had returned to normal. And so I thought.
Symptoms this time around
My symptoms began on a Saturday and were quite similar to those I experienced during my first COVID, with the exception that this time I experienced two days of diarrhoea and my fever fluctuated more than it did previously.
Since Covid was the last thing on my mind, ART Kit tests were done later which was around Monday night. I can't be bothered doing it but since it's our first day back to work from term break holidays and we have children to consider, I had to do the test. My colleague was the one who reminded me actually and I even joke at her if it's positive it's all on her why I can't make it to work. LOL
Of course, I also need to update the Brunei Health Code App on my phone. It immediately changed from green to purple (after reporting the findings of my Art Kit testing) and advised me to stay home isolated.
It will then prompt me to a calendar telling the dates of when to start and end the home isolation. Additionally, it requests daily updates on my symptoms and reminders of when to perform the upcoming ART kit test, which is tomorrow. If it turns negative by then, I think I'll be free by Friday. If still positive the process will be repeated yet again. A big NO for that!
THINKING POSITIVE
- No waking up early
- Well I still do for the meds but going back to bed was not a problem
- I get to binge-watch Netflix
- I finished BEEF. What's next?
- I do not need to go to work
- At least for tomorrow and Friday maybe, next week I will be OK!
- I do not need to think more than I should
- This.
- Blog more perhaps?
NAH, that last bit requires thinking so maybe NOT. 😂
I miss my treadmill run/walk though.
And yeah, I will just have to consider this time as an extended holiday. 😀
Keep safe you all and Thank YOU for reading!
