Big disappointment....

Sometimes, hands can be tied, leaving you with nothing to do about it. Even if you attempt to untangle the situation, there might be no way out. Life has moments like that—you may find yourself in a tight corner, unable to navigate freely.

At this moment, I am extremely disappointed and angry with my tailor. However, I cannot "tailor" this issue to the sailor piloting the ship. It's truly frustrating.

I gave my fabric to my tailor on the 15th of December to sew for me, and we agreed that it would be ready by the 26th. On the 25th, I decided to call, only to hear the excuses I had already anticipated.

I am so upset right now.

I needed the outfit for my brother's wedding on the 2nd of January 2025. Here I am, on the 1st, and the tailor hasn’t even cut the fabric, let alone sewn it. Chai! His shop has been locked since the 25th, and he hasn’t been answering his calls. I feel completely stranded.

The most frustrating part is that I’m not a fan of native wear, so I don’t have any alternatives. Should I wear a suit to a traditional wedding? That would be absurd! 😂😂

This situation is exhausting. I don’t know what I’ll do to that man if I end up missing the opportunity to appear in traditional attire at the wedding.

It wouldn’t bother me as much if I were just a neutral guest, but I am a focal point at this wedding. Imagine me wearing a suit to a traditional wedding—and in Igbo land, no less! Chai...

What kind of problem is this?

If I had known, I would have opted for an already-made native outfit from Wuse Market and had it adjusted to my size at Area 10.

It’s a lesson learned. Next time, I’ll pick up a needle and thread and sew the outfit myself instead of relying on a tailor. I can’t even call him a fashion designer because he’s already failed at designing my work.

Did you end up getting anything from the tailor? What did you wear to the wedding?

That is a very frustrating situation and he lost a client for sure. It’s okay to be slow but this was completely a failure on his part.
