One of the interesting things about social media is the trends that keep coming from it. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. However, it doesn’t always give gifts, and this post is proof that that is not always the case will discuss one trend that is a paragon of this .
I’ve been off of TikTok for several months now, so I’ve been a real caveman with a lot of the trends that’s been coming out the past few months. For the trends that really trended, I found out about them because they eventually made it to X where I am.
I believe it was about 2 days ago when I saw a TikTok post that was shared on X and went “Yo wtf!”. A lady was sharing how she invented her own personal washroom in her house by turning her bucket covered with a rubber into a mini porta pottie and proceeding to shit in it ON CAMERA. When I saw that video, I thought that would be the wtf thing of the week, maybe even the month for me.
But never say never
Yesterday I was scrolling on X and found a post that featured a newspaper with an article title that was pretty catchy and disturbing - Abortion for glow. I’m not sure why I automatically understood what this would be about without reading the article yet. I guess I shouldn’t have been so shocked after all, because it sounds like something my mind didn’t see as too far-fetched.
Like I said, I haven’t been on the Tok much recently, so this was news to me. It probably isn’t for most of you fellas, because I’m sure that if it’s making it to X now, it must’ve already trended on the Tok for long. Eitherways, the newspaper did mention that the trend started somewhere on the Tok.
Now what’s this all even about?
Somewhere last year, I heard about a trend where ladies from my town would drink bottles of weight gain syrups a few months to their wedding so they looked fit in their wedding shoots. In the appropriate GenZ trend, “Glow”.
Apparently, ladies have discovered that an easier way to gain weight and sprout mighty tatas and backsides is by getting pregnant, and aborting several months into pregnancy. So they let someone knock them up, wait 5 months for their “glow”, and then abort.
Science is normally a force associated with good. But these women have found a wicked way to leverage the science of the body for their own gains (no pun intended).
The basics of the science
When women become pregnant, they’re bodies need to undergo a lot of changes to prepare them through the process of pregnancy and labor. The gains they want to see just unfortunately happen to be some of these changes.
Breasts get bigger to prepare for breastfeeding, the weight gain is so that there are energy reserves to support both the mother and child. As for the hips, those enlarge to allow smooth passage of the child during labor.
I know that some women will go to any lengths to get the physique they want, but I never thought this case right here was even a length on the scale of any lengths. I’m not sure how we can end this inhumane and utterly wicked trend, but we definitely need to find a way to fight it. All lives are important, regardless of whether the life has a consciousness or not yet, and people can not be allowed to play wicked games like this for any reason.
Even though I’m not an advocate for abortion, it is completely understandable under the right conditions. This trend is not a right condition. It is purely wicked and selfish, and we need to condemn it. Maybe doctors and pharmacies are the strongest forces in this fight, but even you and I can do our part by publicly condemning it.
