Some days are like this

Greetings!

Before you continue reading this, I want you to join me in feeling my pain because this work you're reading is a second attempt at typing. I had drafted it and, just as I was about to leave the space, my hand accidentally clicked on delete. Unfortunately, the note app I'm using doesn't have a restore feature. So please, share this pain with me; it can't be mine alone. 😂

Okay, so I woke up on a Tuesday morning with a dull mood. A lot has been happening, and there are many scores to settle. Some days, waking up to such thoughts can be so overwhelming. To make matters worse, I experienced a runny nose. I took a pill, which weakened my bones and brought 100% drowsiness. I never wanted to take the medicine because I fully knew how powerful it is on my system, but I couldn't avoid it as the symptoms were too much.

Writing became a big issue for me because my mind wasn't settled, and my body wasn't cooperating either. I decided to give it a shot, scrolling through my community list to see if I could find any prompts to work on, but no—everything felt like an exam question.

"What should I write?"
When I pondered this, three ideas came to mind: I could either write for the comedy community, rant, or write about music. At this stage, nothing seemed funny to me, not even things that usually were. Even funny things felt like a joke, so I couldn't bring myself to write about comedy. You've seen something funny appear as a joke before, right?

The next idea was to make a rant, which birthed what you're reading now, and I decided to mix it with music as an entry to #ttt.

Gaga Krazy!

Twelve years ago, i.e in 2012, this song by Chuddy K was a banger, especially with its party vibe that made people dance wildly, forgetting the troubles of the world. It's so unfortunate that after this huge hit, we never got to hear from him again—at least not with another big hit. His career seemed to just disappear into thin air.

Indomie!

I've been wanting to write about this for a long time, and today, the time finally came. This song was a massive hit, even though it was done entirely in Yoruba, with only two or three lines in pidgin English. I know the Yoruba readers will come at me for this, but yes, I’m calling it out. Well, the song was still a big hit, even though many of us couldn't understand the lyrics.

Back then, this song was like an anthem because anytime it played, we already knew how hyped everyone would get. The song was done by Masterkraft, CDQ, and Olamide.

Zazu!

I'm certain that at least 75% of Nigerians have somehow heard of the song Zazu or the artist Portable.

When you think of Portable, this is the song that catapulted him to fame, and it's his biggest signature in the music industry, especially with the way he performs, raising his shoulders high. The song came out in a very controversial way, and they used that controversy to promote it. It was a collaboration between Portable, Poco Lee, and Olamide.

So, you see, it's really painful to type a 500+ word article twice, especially when dealing with writer's block. But I finally won!

Thanks for reading.

I would have screamed! 😂 Especially now that writing a decent post can be a serious task.

At the time, the only thing I ever got from the Indomie song was the word "Indomie". However, the song used to make me display some steps, especially when played on loud speakers!

Please don't start😂

It sucks when a post gets deleted by mistake like that! It certainly didn’t help writers block I’m sure lol. Glad you got it sorted out though!

Very very very painful 😅.
But yeah, I was determined and I wrote it back within 30mins.
Thank you for stopping by
