This topic is a topic that has been eating at me for quite some times now, at first I didn't want to say anything concerning dollars drop in value but something really vexing has prompted me to.

making the world a better place is not a day journey, I believe' and for the world to really be a better place, everybody I believe' has his/her own role to play,
this post is subjective, as I cannot speak for everyplace, or everyone because our countries are different.

in my own country, Nigeria we usually blame the government for anything happening in our lives, even if it's not an economic related problem, I also have many times criticized the government for what they did and didn't do, the truth is, for all the discomfort going on in most peoples life, its easier to blame someone for it rather than take the long path of taking responsibility

I have discovered that in my country many of us likes to play the blame game, and we have practiced this art to perfection that we become so blind to our own errors and injustice.

The currency, dollars as we know it has lost some value in recent days, not only in Africa but all over the world
This has brought comfort to those who don't directly deal with dollars and a little discomfort to those who do.
Dollars is a global currency for countries who are part of the UN body, like gold it's a global means of exchange and any fluctuation in the value will affect the economy of almost every country in this planet earth, but to some people the rise and fall of dollar is a business for them.

Not to compare, my country's currency is very very low in value compared to dollars, our economy as we have been made to believe, is wholesomely affected by the rise and fall of dollar, we even have local vendors who sell' but mostly buys dollars, and the price of commodities in market is mostly determined by the value of dollars, at least not until now.

since end of the corona outbreak many things has not been right, I don't know if it's a global phenomenon or just a Nigeria thing, it's like people don't care anymore, the slogan has changed from "we want the government to do it right, and we are ready to help, now it's "we don't care about the government or anybody, as long as I can feed myself"

I remember before now that anytime the dollar value comes down commodities price in the market usually comes down with it but the reverse is the case now
it's like the value of dollars don't matter to people anymore, in fact cassava a very cheap and common food classified as food for poor folks has never been on such a increase in these past few days

the problem is not the government again, it's the people, it's like everybody wants a piece of the national cake without caring who gets hurt, locally made products are more expensive than imported ones, including wears.

In these past few weeks the dollars value has dropped in Nigeria by almost 45% but the price of everything has increased by almost 55% including gas

now who are we going to blame?
