The sun!

It's here, the sun is here!

Nights have been pretty cold, but as a trade-off, we have sunny days. It's starting to get me out of the wintery blues I think, although I'm still not really in the mood to do all sorts of useful stuff.

We'll be getting some warmer days now, even nights will be a little less cold. All of this means less chance of freezing, so I can start to do more garden work. I cut up some bushes that need to be removed yesterday and today I'll probably see if I can move some flower bulbs out of the area that's supposed to become a vegetable garden. I've got some bigger plants to move and some plants to trim, but the next two nights will still be a little cold, so that comes later.

I figured I should have a designated vegetable garden area this time, instead of placing everything everywhere. That way, I'll only have one area that needs a lot of attention and I can let the rest of the garden hold some more weeds when I'm lazy. It'll also make it easier for watering. But yeah, still needs a lot of work to clear it all up and move plants to other spots.

My fence is still broken by the way. The companies I've written to about replacing the fence apparently don't need my money and are too busy with other tasks. Which sucks, because I prefer some privacy in my garden! I haven't written to too many to be fair. I'm too tired to try and find trustworthy companies in the area, so I keep hoping someone will just answer my message. It's rude too, you know? Atleast tell me you don't have time, instead of ignoring me. It's fine that you're full of work now, good for you, but when work dries up, I'm not going to come back to whoever ignored me now. Bad business!

I've been playing a bit of Guild Wars 2, although I'm slacking in the story-department and I've also been afking a lot. We also now have HBO Max, so I can watch more tv. As if the other streaming services weren't enough. Oh well, even more choice and ofcourse, some good shows are only viewable there. It's a bit crazy with all of these seperate services. Netflix is starting to become way too expensive compared to the prices of these others. I wonder how long they can keep that up, because these other services have pulled their shows off of Netflix aswell, so it's not like their content is increasing.

Aaaand I've been looking for work. Kinda. Just a little bit. Getting excited and then being afraid I can't keep up. Wondering how well I am now. Kinda just wanting to never work again, but that's not really realistic now, is it? I mean, it's great that women work now too, but it just kinda sucks that it is not really a choice anymore. Costs of living are now adjusted to fit a household that has two workers, instead of one. Great huh! As if work is the only thing to live for.

Bah. So I gotta work, because my fence broke down and my roof won't last forever and that mortgage on the house won't disappear into nothingness, not to mention all of the other maintenance a house needs throughout the years. Although as I'm finding out, there aren't any people available to do the work on and around the house anyway, so there's no one to throw my money at.

This turned into quite a list of complaints, huh? I was just free-writing here. Yeah, I'm not completely out of that wintery blues yet.

In other, good news, we're getting some tax returns this year, even though I shared my blogging income now that it's actually worth something. So that's nice!

Fun free write! Ah guild wars, you brought back some awesome memories of that game! I played 1 for years but never really got into 2. The story was good but damn the graphics were awesome in that game!

Hopefully you can get some people to fix your fence lol. I’m looking forward to owning a house but not so much the things that I can’t fix myself like a roof. A fence sounds like a fun thing to fix but I don’t know what kind of fence you’ve got so it could be also difficult.

I played GW1 a lot aswell, it was so much fun! GW2 is pretty cool too, although I usually stick to the World vs World gametype.

I think fixing our fence wouldn't be too difficult for a handy person. We are not such persons 😅 Also, it borders on a field of grass and our current fence doesn't reach down into the ground, meaning a lot of grass keeps entering our garden, so I want a new one to keep the grass out.
