Critical Security Breach For Apple Users w/ M-chips!!!

If any of y’all are using Mac products with M1, M2 or M3 chips…

BIG DEAL.

Though, the risk factor does entail installing malicious software - so exercise extreme diligence & caution if/when installing anything.

More detailed info available here

No word on how long it’ll take Apple to work out a solution. Apparently they’ve known about it for a few months and have done little. Hopefully now that it’s hitting the news, that’ll light some fire under their asses to take it more seriously.

Yikes! I have an M2 mini at home, but I never use it for anything except as a media server for my PLEX streaming. It basically just sits in the basement untouched!

Oh gosh! Whats an M Chip snd if i have it xan steal my encrypted Keys? Damn!

btw

It's time to join me in Afrika!
I got a house and much more October onwards

Got the massive Hook ups
More per Dm's

they're Apple's processors, in most of the new macs released over the last 5 years.

stealing of keys would still require malware to be installed on the computer. so no huge vulnerabilities, as not that different than anything else - malware with a keylogger could steal passwords on any system, for example. but still reason to be a bit extra cautious if/when installing anything on a mac with M1, M2 or M3.
