For people who shop online, I am sure most of them have had at least one unpleasant experience with the store you shopped with, whether it is a case of goods taking too long to get delivered, or a case of "what I ordered versus what I get" like something like this:
....or getting something totally different from what you ordered, like ordering a microwave and getting a gas cylinder delivered to you.
While none of the above common buyer experiences is their fault but that of the store, my experience was mostly my fault. I was careless
So, we are currently on a three-week election break so yesterday I was randomly scrolling through my Facebook feed when I came across some products ads on display from AliExpress, the products include, a nice leather shoe, an nice silver ring and a backpack..
"...a backpack..?"
It immediately thought it wouldn't be too bad to resume school with a new backpack, especially now that I have to carry a lot of books from place to place, being that our exams is just about 5 weeks to come.
I clicked on the ad and was taken to my AliExpress account, I looked for several options, they were really nice backpacks on AliExpress that I would have been spoilt for choice if I had the money to afford any of them.
Here are some bags I came across:
This one is the exact same type a friend of mine has, he said it was gifted to him by his aunt who loved abroad when she came visiting. I loved it and was happy to see it on display in AliExpress. I wanted to buy it but when I looked at the price I was like, "just add it to your cart, you can afford that in the future."
Then I came across this one:
As you can see, it's all black, plain black. What made me like it is that most of my clothes are all black, that's my favorite color. I might as well wear my outfits with a black backpack to match, but I was discouraged again by both the price and the size.
Then I saw this one:
I mean, look at this! The color choice is great to me plus, it's got a lot of pockets for pens, pencils, rulers , and even some chewing sticks lol. I got discouraged again. Yeah, you guessed right, by the price.
Lastly, I saw this one:
Perfect ain't it? Just the way I want it; not too big and not too small. I can literally put anything I want in this one and still have some space to put some more extra things. I went straight to what scared me off the rest: the price. It was perfect! I was like "finally...😍", little did I know I was making a mistake. I immediately placed my order and to my greatest shock, I was debited four times the price of the bag.
I was like:
I went back to check the price tag again with a confused head only to see that I had totally ignored the shipping fee which was three times the price of the bag. Then I was like:
Not that this usually happens, I don't just know how I managed to have ignored it totally. I have now been caught by what I had been running from in the case of the previous bags. What pains me most was that this money was supposed to be paid as my departmental fee, plus penalty fee for not paying on time, yes! I am already late on payment already and this happened all because I was careless 😭😭
I feel like I hate the bag already, ugh!!
