Let's Hunt For Optimus

I guess this is my come back from more than a month of hiatus? Haha. I have been busy these days and I cannot seem to find a time to write. I swear the moment I lay in my bed and close my eyes, I fall asleep! Every freakin' night! I miss writing!

Anyway we're in Quezon City this morning hunting for trucks. I received a phone call from my former client about a month ago. He was asking me to help him in his business if I am not busy with my life. I said yes to an indefinite position until his business regains momentum. So his business is in line with selling reconditioned surplus trucks from Japan. In the meantime I am help him manage his finances and production.

Going back to hunting for trucks, Baesa in Quezon City has a huge market for Japan Surplus Trucks. And if there is a place where business are monopolized by Chinese. This area are owned by the Pakistanis.

The surplus store we went into doesn't just sell trucks. They have motorcycles to backhoes and even bulldozers. And by seeing the vehicles they sell, I can say that one man's junk is reall another man's treasure. You wont believe that these rusted cars are the same after reconditioning them. It looks brand new.

But it's not just trucks and vehicles they sell. They also sell car parts from engines to doors and plastic trims. Sometimes you'd also see things not related to vehicles. Like sewing machines or appliances like fridge or even a printer.

I do enjoy coming here. It's like treasure hunting for me. I get to meet different raises to aside from Pakistanis there are a few Turkish in the area too.

At the end of the day I had a headache after nonstop talking in a different language than my mother tongue. But we get to find a good deal for a truck. It will be transferred to our yard in San Pablo by the night and next week we get to recondition it and make a dump body for it.

Just thinking the design of the dump adds an ounce to my headache. I forgot that it will fall to me yet again. Ahaha. But it's story for another time.

This is the truck we picked. It's in a rough shape but I swear after we are done reconditioning it, youll never know it's the same truck.

That's it for today. I hope I get back to writing again. 💓

Ehhh, kaya pala tagal mong MIA. Na busy ka masyado sa buhay buhay. Anyways, bale ererepair nyo or anoba tamang term dun?

Yesnirerepair... Fully functional na sya paglabas ..ahahha

Trucks aren't my kind of thing and you won't see me in this kind of shop for sure but it's kinda interesting to see this. I only play with toy trucks when I was a kid and seeing this is just fun.

Kasalanan po talaga ng kings of restoration kaya ako napunta dito e..ahhahaha...

Tas ng tamiya bakita ako nahilig sa sasakyan

There you are! 😁🤗

The pile of rusty wrenches was a VIBE, I don't know why... I just looked at it for almost a full minute in appreciation 😂

Glad to see you back, and to know that the urge to write lives on in your heart 😊 Thanks for sharing your cool adventure with us!
