Time to celebrate!
And if there was anything I enjoyed doing, it was getting ready for special occasions. I enjoy making people happy by filling their bellies with delicious food and beautifying the environment to make it more attractive and appropriate for the event.
So what do I have planned first? Write down every dish I intend to serve, then describe the venue's design. First, let's make a list of our menu items so that we may create a market list.
To keep the guests entertained as they enter, I'm considering serving wine and cheese. Wine should be present, of course, as many of the women in the house enjoy it. What about the main dish? For the main dish, how about steak? Or maybe I'll still change my mind later on. Is cake on the menu? The celebration is made sweeter by the presence of cake, of course.
It's time to get to the supermart right now. Come with me to Cash & Carry. I've been enjoying going to this grocery store lately because they have Japanese cucumber and different kinds of cheese.
I purchased Emborg Camembert cheese for P189, or roughly $4, and Gouda cheese for P232, or roughly $5. Feta cheese costs Php280, or about $6. I also purchased various cold cuts, including salami for Php210 ($4) for 250 grams and serrano ham for Php180 ($4) per gram. $5 will get you some crackers and some fruit. Since @tengolotodo volunteered to sponsor it, I don't have to spend money on the wine.
Let's go to the main course now. Sincerily, I haven't made up my mind about the main course. I don't want to serve just one appetizer since I want to set a cheerful table.
Let's just order something instead of doing a lot of cooking. For a festive table, let's allot $150. I simply want to be a big deal at this party and please the guests. I don't want anyone to feel excluded because the guests will be from all over the world due to the food that will be provided. I therefore made the decision to serve food from several cultures.
Cake, as I mentioned, is a need. I also ordered a burnt cheesecake with fresh fruits on this anniversary. One entire cake cost about Php2400 (about $45) when I got it through David's Food Order. among the best burnt cheesecakes I've ever had.

And now that I've finished preparing the food for the guests, it's time for me to fix the location. Not too casual nor too formal. Everyone will feel at ease with the ideal theme. I've heard that some people would like to dance, so make sure there is a space set aside for dancing and that someone is in charge of the music.
Costs overall:
$210 for food
Wine provided by @Tengolotodo
Decors - recycled items
Flowers - provided by @dswigle
Hmmm Why did I choose this menu?
Cheese and cold cuts are loved by most of us. It never failed to make any guest smiles and satisfied with what's their going to put in their mouth and they are the easiest and for me, the best as appetizer. Of course, I also want to showcase viands from other countries that is why I served different viand for the main course. And why cheesecake? Is there anyone out there who doesn't love cheesecake? Yeah? So I guess I don't need to say why cheesecake hahaa.
Of course, this celebration will not be happening without @dreemsteem with the help of #marketfriday by @dswigle.
So Let's not forget to greet dreemport on this special occassion!.
Happy 1st dreemport!!!
And if you've come this far... I hope that I was able to entertain you and made you smile... and for that Thank you.
