Traditional Market Activities in The City Of Idi, East Aceh, Indonesia.

Hi all friends of the Market Friday community, this is the fourth time I have joined the "Market Friday" community.
First of all I want to say a big thank you to the Admin @dswigle Special greetings to the admin, always healthy for the Admin and also for all members, hope you have a nice day.
In my first post.
Today I want to tell you a little about the activities and routines when I shop at the morning market in my city, Idi Aceh Timur Indonesia, I haven't been to the Idi market for a long time to shop for basic household needs, so last Friday I was ordered by my grandmother to go shopping. Incidentally, last Friday I went on vacation to my grandmother's village, it turns out that the basic ingredients there have gone up a week ago, especially rice, chili, onion, garlic and cooking oil whose prices have increased dramatically by about 20 percent from before. Yes, like it or not, because they are all basic necessities, I have to buy them 1/2 kilo and 1/4 kilo.
The market looks crowded especially Friday is the day when all the sellers gather there. Many seasonal sellers come from the regions to sell, some sell fruits, vegetables and other garden products.
So, last Friday I wanted to buy vegetables and fish that my grandmother ordered.

Here are some pictures of the market activities. The location is strategic in the middle of Idi city, the market is still an old and unkempt building and also a bit dirty due to the lack of attention from the local government.

After buying what I needed I rushed home to hand over my groceries to my grandmother to prepare lunch for our family.

Greetings from me @khaibahar

You go in with fresh eyes, not used to the market like this. It seems dirty and unkempt to you, but, funny enough people that live there just see it as their market. I have to tell you that I never judge anyone's market as I have traveled for many years, including to third world places. (I am also not saying you are judging, just as I know that you understand what I am saying)

The market has many different foods, straight from the farm to the table. How wonderful that is, not to have to wonder where your food came from. It all looks nutritious and I already know that it is delicious. How can it not be? How nice that you got to see your grandmother. I grew up with three grandmothers for my entire life and lost one in my adulthood. They are national treasures as far as I am concerned.

I want to thank you for being a part of the #MarketFriday Challenge. I have personally found there is always so much to learn about people, where they live, and how things are done in different parts of the world. For me, reaching out across the globe and learning about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, has been such a rewarding experience. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the rituals, festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... and what is normal for us? There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. We do differ in many ways, which makes us interesting and unique, but, there are many ways in which are so much alike.
