It has been a while since I write about #marketfriday. This Friday, I was looking for a battery replacement for my watch. While I was asking around, a friend of mine told me to check out a particular accessories store in town. The place is known to be cheap and has accessories from watches, hats, sofas and home decor. Think of it like a cheaper version of MR. DIY or KKV except without snacks. Anyhow, I’ll take you touring around this place and especially the artificial flowers section!
In addition to that, the place also offers supplies for weddings and wedding decoration. I have to say, I was tempted because I can also find home photography supplies from the store for cheap. Sadly, I was there for a more important thing which is the battery for my watch. I was skeptical when my friend mentioned this place since it’s not a designated watch place. But, why not? If I can save up a couple bucks for a battery and replace it on my own, that would be a win-win situation.
When I entered the place, I was greeted with a nice display of various handbags and beauty supplies. They have the watch section on the first row and while screening through them, I saw fake watches that look good. Honestly, to this day I still wonder the difference between name brand watches vs fake watches.
I mean, I know that brand name watches have resell value but other than that, they show at the same time. Nearing the end of the shelves, I found what I was looking for, a battery replacement. They have different prices starting from 0.49$ with 10 small battery on it. I ended up getting the cheapest one just to test out how long they would last. Since usually, the battery I bought would last me 3-4 months before needing a new replacement.
After getting the battery, I explored the place more. Apparently, on the second floor, they have home decor,a sofa and all sorts of mirrors and a bazillion of flowers. I really wish they were real because the smell would have been really good.
Unfortunately, they were all fake flowers and they can easily collect dust.
As you can see below, they have quite a few selections They have various fake plants and flowers that could beautify a space. Again, as much as I was tempted to pick up some and create a mini home studio, it wasn’t my goal to be there. So, I was just there clicking a few pictures and left for the next room.
In the next room, they had rattan crafts and they were all really unique. Most importantly, it's cheaper than a lot of places I’ve been to.
I bought some of them for my home and after browsing that place, I feel ripped off. You can get a nice basket as low as $2 and there are tons of options and even painted ones.
When I was there, I felt like snatching everything. I was pretty surprised to find the place was rather empty. It was just unfortunate that the place has a minimum of $9 if you’re paying with card or cashless. I would love going back to the place at some point since they have some supplies that I need. At the same time, since it has been a while since I have been inside a store, I find enjoyment just window shopping and screening through the items. More importantly, a great shot with the flowers.
