Good evening Hivans, this is my first post on @MarketFriday community hosted by @dswigle , I hope you guys welcome me with love.
I'm going to share with you today my experience this evening with the vulcanizer.
I noticed that one of my car tyres was leaking this evening before I got into it, this was because I normally do I routine check before driving out for safety reasons. So I managed it to the Vulcanizer's workshop so that he can mend and re-guage it.
On seeing the tyre, the vulcanizer advised that the tyre should be removed and the space between the tyre and the rim should be filled with "FUFU" for the tyre not to leak after being pumped.
NB: FUFU is a west African meal fade from soaked cassava tuber, it's starchy nature makes it useful for the Vulcanizers.

Re-fixing of the Mended tyre.
That was my ordeal with the vulcanizer today.
I paid the sum of five hundred naira only for this service, I'm glad to share it with this splendid community.
I'd appreciate your support and upvote.
Thanks for your patience in following up with my market Friday experience.

Welcome to #MarketFriday! We have been waiting for you! :))

FUFU?? That surprised me and actually made me smile! What an ingenious way to fix a tire! (tyre) I have never heard of it, but, I have to believe it because I just saw him do it! Tell me, how is that holding up? Is it still holding? That was a great price and if it holds up, I cannot imagine a better deal to be had. I am glad that you inspect your car before driving it. I am sure that it prevents little things like getting stuck on the side of the road with a bad tire! (tyre)

I am happy to have you post into #MarketFriday and hope you find your place here. I enjoyed reading the post by you - and for being a part of #MarketFriday! I cannot tell you how pleased I am to see so many participating every week. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for it. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. By the way, your post was perfect - and very interesting!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers markets and eventually branching out and evolving over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world. Anyone reading this can learn how to be a part!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

  2. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
Please only one post each week. Believe it not, I run out of voting power if you put in many more than that.
As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

Yes it works, the tire (tyre) is still fully inflated. The starchy component of the FUFU keeps the tire glued with the rim, making it airtight. This is usually used for tubeless tires.
I'm delighted and honoured that you gained something new from my post. I also appreciate your support on the post. Thanks.
