Market Friday Buttonwood Park Zoo
A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.
For this weeks post, I am going to share a few shots of a visit to the Buttonwood Park Zoo
The Buttonwood Park Zoo, located in New Bedford, Massachusetts, United States, is a seven-acre zoo located in the center of Buttonwood Park. It is owned and operated by the City of New Bedford, with the support of the Buttonwood Park Zoological Society. The zoo opened in 1894 as a deer park and menagerie
I did visit this zoo shortly after we moved here just as the Pandemic restrictions were coming into force and quite enjoyed my visit then, and I don't know if because of the pandemic they have had less visitors and hence less income, but I found I was not that impressed with it this time, some of the paths were over run with plants and such, and a few of the enclosures were empty.
I doubt I will revisit it again for a while but maybe will again next year and see if it is in better shape.
I did get some shots of animals, and of an indoor display with fish jelly fish and birds that was probably my favorite part of the visit to the zoo, but I haven't even looked at or edited those yet, but for this post I will focus more on the more market parts of the zoo
