Market Friday
A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.
For this weeks post, I may be, well no I am totally stretching the term market Friday, I did buy this item, but to be honest this fits more as a review sort of post I guess.
I a little while back saw a post by @themarkymark on his favorite technology gadgets and he mentioned the Streamdeck a very popular tool for live streamers and many others being able to quickly switch things on a computer at the click of a button.
This led me to check out the Loupedeck Live.

Well as you can see from this first photo I not only checked it out I ended up buying one

Now I did have a Loupedeck+ which I used a bit mainly when in Lightroom rating and editing photos, but I had a couple of issues with it, its size is about that of a keyboard and lining it up on my desk I never found it fit just right, plus depending on what screen you were in in Lightroom or photoshop the buttons and knobs had different actions they did and I had trouble remembering them at times and found myself reverting to using the mouse often
Now the last photo is with the PC turned off and probably it doesn't look much, but when your PC is on I am finding it so useful and suing it a lot

As you can see it has a screen which is divided into 12 touch buttons, 6 Knobs for adjusting settings, and it shows on the side of the screen what each knob is adjusting
and then 8 Buttons on the bottom to change the screen your working on

The cool thing is the software to set it up is very good once you work out how to use it which I didnt find to hard.
This next photo shots the setup I have at the moment when in the library module in Lightroom, so I can easily rate and color code the images I have
iphone
I am still working on setting it up, every now and again I think of somethi8ng I can add to it
this next shot is the basic screen is I am not in Lightroom or Photoshop, with the time, a Button which I have setup to open all the apps I use most days, it just needs me to touch that button and they all open up, the date, and a button to open the Loupedeck software, so I can make changes as I think of them,
The middle row you can see at the moment I have blank, but I suspect with time I will add more things to them, I would love to be technical enough to work out how to have them display the price of Hive and HBD, and will try and work out how to do that sometime
The bottom row are buttons that were setup by default with the exemption of the Text button which I added
That opens a New page where I have a few buttons with text shortcuts that I can paste in at the click of a button

Now Loupedeck started with tools primarily for lightroom and Photoshop, but with the Loupedeck Live and Loupedeck CT ( a bigger version with more buttons and controls), they have opened its us up for many other programs and apparently it has gained popularity with many live streamers.
But for me, it has proved to be a very handy tool for me, has made things easier and quicker particularly in lightroom at the moment which I have fine tuned the setup to suit my workflow.
and slowly will keep making adjustments for lightroom and other tasks on the computer
And that’s all folks
unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.
