Hello StemSocial Community! Welcome to my blog. Science is an interesting subject that verifies many natural phenomena. Although this subject has been one of the toughest one in my student era but still I like it a lot. In branches of Science, I like Physics a lot. Either it was Newton's Laws or Aristotle's Laws, all are my favorite. Physics is my favorite subject regarding science because it is directly linked with many principles that are happening around me. In the beginning of life on our planet, man become frightened by observing many things in the day. It was Physics that helped him to understand the reality of things and how things happened on this planet. Today, I have decided to discuss an interesting post in StemSocial about the Science of two objects.

Competition for Touching the Ground

In our environment, if we hold two objects. One object is lighter like feather or pencil and other object is heavier like apple. By falling both these objects at same time from same distance, then object with more weight will fall first and will touch the ground.

It happened due to gravity. Our Earth attracts all objects towards its surface. It is called Gravitational Pull. Due to aero drag, heavier object touched the ground first. This simple phenomenon can be observed by anyone.

Can it be happened if we release Heavy and light object from same distance at same time and both touch the ground at same time with same speed?

When we ask above question from a common person, then his most expected answer will be No but it can happen because I have observed it closely. For this thing to happen, we need a simple ideal condition. We have to creat Vacuum in a camera room by removing all air. After creating a vacuum, we can fall two objects heavy and small at the same time from same distance. Then gravity will equally affect both of them. It had been seen easily both of these objects will touch the ground equally with equally speed. This experiment can be done anywhere.

Warning

When a vacuum is created in a room, you should not in this same room because it has low oxygen or no oxygen and you may suffer hypoxia.

Above experiment is supported by Law of Free falling bodies by Galileo. Yes, this man proved this fact years ago that heavy and light object can touch the ground at same speed at the same time provided that there will be no air resistance.

Conclusion

Science helped us to understand the natural facts. It's principles are always guiding torch for us. I liked it's branch physics because it is fun. Today, I have decided to share one beautiful phenomenon Law of Free Falling Bodies that I have read from a website today and I have done one experiment at College years ago. It was fun to do this. Physical Laws are interesting, easy to understand and easy to perform. This is my first post in StemSocial, I hope you will enjoy. Thanks!

What a beautiful explanation of gravity :)

Gravity attract everything towards Earth 💯

It is Law for Free falling objects. Thank you for comment and appreciation.

I just gave an idea for yoyr next post hehehe. The problem was to explain how light waves are transmitted in different mediums for a 6years old kid 😹

It is indeed a good idea. I 'm hopeful the way, I shall explore it you will enjoy even 6 years old Kid will easily understand. So wait for my next post with patience 😂.

Thank you for sharing this fascinating insight into the race between heavy and light objects, Aslam! It's amazing how gravity plays such a crucial role in determining the outcome.

Your experiment in creating a vacuum to remove air resistance is a great way to demonstrate the Law of Free Falling Bodies by Galileo.

I sincerely enjoyed reading.

Thanks once again

Thank you for positive Feedback. It is big encouragement to share some more Physical Phenomenal here. Heavy and Light objects can touch the ground at same time from same distance. It was Galileo who explained it and we can experience it in a vacuum room.

Well, I am not sure if I can do that experiment in real but it sounds really interesting. Enjoyed it

@tipu curate 2

It is not as much tough as we think. You can do it if you can manage vacuum. Otherwise, visit Lahore and we both will perform this experiment 😂. Thank you for your lovely support.

Amazing article! This type of article I am looking in this area!! Good that you enjoy physics. Science is fun. I was just explaining today to my daughter why or hands underwater can be observed as a different size while outside the water hehe

I know the answer for your question. I like physics, it really helps us in Nature Understanding. There are many phenomenon that happened like magic but they are normal. Thank you a lot for your big support.
