Hello StemSocial Community! Welcome to my blog. In Summer, people avoid getting sunlight because they believe that their skin will be damaged if they expose themselves to sunlight. Sunlight is the only natural source that helps Vitamin D Synthesis in our body. Whether it is winter or it is summer, our skin needs adequate sunlight for Vitamin D. When we are not exposed to sunlight for a longer time then our immunity and bones become weaker and weaker. In winter, bone density is reduced due to vitamin D deficiency.
Bone Diamond, Vit D
Are You Facing Bone Aching While walking? |
---|
At the older age, both men and women face bone problems. It can be due to vitamin D deficiency because it plays a key role in the chemistry of the bone. We need to help our skin in its natural preparation through sunlight.
Sunlight ----> Skin --->7-dehydrocholestrol ----> D3(Cholecalciferol)
When D3 is prepared, the Kidney and Liver both convert D3 into Vit D (Calciferol), which can be used by our body easily. Hence, we should never ignore sunlight.
There is an interesting fact that black colors absorb more sunlight than white colors. It is reversed in the case of vitamin D Synthesis by the skin. Dark skin needs more sunlight than white skin for Vitamin. Similarly, an aged person needs more sunlight for Vitamin D Synthesis than a young person. These are the factors that affect vitamin D Synthesis.
Final Thoughts
We should Love Sunlight |
---|
Usually, people avoid sunlight for fear of damaging their skin. It is true if we keep ourselves in sunlight for a long duration. Then hyper skin pigmentation can harm our skin, but if we expose our skin for more than 30 minutes, it can be effective for our skin. Vit D is the diamond of the bone. It not only strengthens them but also plays a vital role in their immunity. Bone fractures are very common in those people who avoid sunlight or have vitamin D deficiencies. Hence instead of hating sunlight, we should love it. People need guidance about it. We can get vitamin D by eating Fish as well as Vegetables. Some people also inject artificial sources of vitamin D into their bodies. For me, it is harmful and should be avoided. We should totally depend on natural sources of Vitamin D, either sunlight or through Food. I learned about this issue when my mother got vitamin D deficiency and is now facing bone aching. Before causing further damage to our body, we should strengthen our body by taking sunlight or by taking Vit D through diet.
This is all about vitamin D and Sunlight; I hope you have enjoyed my post. Thanks!
