HELLO HIVE
In the past few days, people around my place and some parts of Nigeria have been experiencing unbearably high levels of heat during the day and the Night, it was quite unbearable that lots of people took to social media to raise their concerns over this with some leaving hilarious comments on Twitter about the heat been as a result of someone mistakenly opening the door of hell, that was how much the heat was which led to people asking questions of our scientist in the country for an explanation as to what is happening well the Nigerian meteorological Agency which was made of scientist around the country and in My department in the university came up with an answer to this question.
Physics touches so many aspects of our life including weather and geology which means that they have an explanation for some of the global weather and climatic conditions. They dedicate their time to studying and checking the most observable changes in our climatic conditions ionospheric physicists will have a lot to contend with in the next few days.
Having to contend with temperatures of up to 37°C has been the story in the past few days and scientists have given the reason for this rise to be a result of heat waves stemming from the emission of greenhouse gases and the expectation is that this condition will continue for the next few days so we have to contend with hot days and nights with certain adaption techniques been rolled out to help reduce the effects of the heat wave.
They include drinking lots of water to keep us hydrated and we can do that by having a water bottle with us all the time to help us remember this, avoiding alcoholics and caffeinated drinks, avoiding foods that are rich in protein because they increase body metabolic heat, fresh fruit, and vegetables can act as a substitute, monitor blood pressure and take cold baths.
There's a point I didn't add which is staying indoors around 12 noon to 3 pm and that is because of the job routine in our country. There are common effects that come with this heat wave and they are fainting or death, chicken pox, heat rash, and psychological stress.
The world's climate condition is changing every day we shouldn't get tired of asking for things to go back to the way they ought to be and this is not just for us but for the generation to come.
