HELLO HIVE
Every week within a semester we are introduced to different practical concepts in physics and that's what makes physics an interesting field for me although there is the theoretical part that's based on assumptions and theories the only way this theories will become a law in physics is if they can be backed experimentally because physics is a science of physical phenomenons.
Hall effect is an experiment that was first conducted by Edwin Hall in 1879 when he was conducting experiments to measure the magnetic field around a conductor carrying an electric current there is a lot yet to be fully understood about how the conduction of different works and the more we learn about it the more the discoveries that will unfold as the time goes on.
In semi conductor's hall effect occurs when a magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the direction of current flow in semi conductor materials, semi conductor's are very important to us in so many ways like the electronic industry, information, technology and communication, energy efficiency and in the health care sectors around the globe.
These experiments help us to get the best out of the semi conductor materials there fore developing new tools out of them as we understand them more.
The primary equipment for this experiment are power supply, magnetic field source,Hall Effect Probe,Voltage Measurement Instrument,Current Measurement Instrument,Sample Holder and other instruments that maybe optional depending on the case we are studying.
The main experimental value that we are to get from this experiment is the hall voltage that varies for different materials from conductor's to semi conductors other values will be gotten from the hall voltage values like hall coefficient, carrier density and carrier mobility.
