Ever since Donald Trump was declared winner of the just concluded election in the US many people including big tech companies have been working towards adjusting their old policies to fit the narrative of the newly elected US president.
Among them is Meta’s owner Mark Zuckerberg, who has come out in a video to the public about how they now want to be a more user-oriented platform that supports all sorts of content without censorship. We all know that Facebook is one of the most biased or let’s say politically driven platforms of the century.
Any slight narrative that might not be in alignment with the government’s narrative is usually faced with a lot of scrutiny and flags. I could remember when talking about BTC on Facebook as a sure way to get censored, shadowbanned or even blocked entirely from the platform.
But power has changed hands, moving from the dictatorship era to the free speech or freedom fighters era.
If you are not living under a rock, we all know that Trump has always been the man with a loud mouth and doesn’t care about anything besides saying the bitter truth that his other colleagues weren’t allowed to say to the public. This has gained him countless accolades and at the same time backlash from his other peers. Couple that with some lawsuits too, which he still managed to beat.
It’s like this man is a talk-it-walk-it type of guy, and this shows in every debate of his. To cut the long story short he now has an ally that is presently the face of the new revolution and that’s Elon Musk himself. These two have become the new era of freedom fighters, and people are starting to believe this to be true.
Moreover, what’s not to like about Elon seeing how he has been able to acquire Twitter now X to become a home of diverse opinions and narratives? However, what many people are failing to forget is that these two are still not here to save us even if they act like they will. This is because the System itself is rigged at its core, and even these two fatfnkers know.
In short, anyone who thinks that Elon or Trump will be their messiah is only going to set himself up for failure. This is why I like crypto because it takes power from the middle man which is the Banks back to the people. And this is why you need to embrace every inch of crypto and all that relates to real decentralization.
X is not a decentralized platform, even if Elon wants you there talking trash to the Russian government. Neither will Trump say hey let’s help all Americans out of poverty. They all know it’s impossible but just so people think they are their savior they take up the act. Anyone who is still fooled by the narrative of any government in power is ever going to save humanity is just setting himself up for a huge disappointment. So instead of using X alone, why not start giving Web 3 platforms like Hive a go too and see what real freedom and decentralization look like?
