Conditions That Come With Excruciating Pain

Nobody wants to die but we all want to make heaven is a popular adage in Nigeria and it sounds true to everyone only if a person is going through certain condition that is either not treatable or has long lasting painful post experience. There are certain types of health condition that a person would prefer the last option to continually feeling the pain one of such conditions among the ones I will be mentioning is Proctalgia fugax.

First, there is no cure for Proctalgia Fugax, and it is a recurring anorectal pain that is severe and localized to the lower rectum or what you know as anus. It can be extremely painful that it would be difficult to stand, or do anything else. Pain can occur as a result of Anal sphincter spasm, Nerve problems where there is a damage to the pudendal nerve, vagina hysterectomy, and Sclerotherapy for hemorrhoids. Proctalgia Fugax can be triggered by stress, sex, menstruation and during bowel movement. This can be painful and I do not wish to experience this as simple bowel movement which is something I have everyday can become ones biggest nightmare.

Another condition that comes with excruciating pain is Stone Man Syndrome also known as Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva. There is a high chance that if you see the fantastic four, you would fall in love with the rocky character Ben but Stone man syndrome is not one to wish for. This isn't one that happens every time as it is a rare genetic disorder, which leads to abnormal bone development. With this condition, the muscles and connective tissues solidify somewhat of becoming bony in what is known as ossification.

Minor injuries cause the muscle tissues to calcify turning them to bone and when this happens all around the body, the simplest of movement become impossible with severe pain around the body and it can make breathing difficult as a result of the ossification of the rib cage. For now, there is no cure for this, so a person has to endure this pain all through their live.

Osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer is another condition that can cause excruciating pain to a person. This cancer usually target the arms and legs and it gives a crushing bone feeling as the tumor grows. The pain is excruciating that patients feel it either when sitting or when moving and it is more painful when moving. Patient has to go with routine painkillers and for treatment, patient will have to undergo surgery, radiation and chemotherapy.

Butterflies are beautiful but butterfly disease isn't. Also known as Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), and it is a genetic disease that causes the skin to tear causing open wounds and blisters. Simple contact with the skin can lead to severe damage and blisters to the skin. Anyone, any race, and any gender can suffer from Epidermolysis Bullosa although it is majorly genetic. Patients are easily susceptible to infection because new wounds and bruises give them a chance to infect them. There is no cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa so pain management and treatment of sore and bruises becomes a routine.

Now, let's discuss a condition that its name is even complex and that's Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). This condition is usually triggered by an injury which could be minor ones but instead of the injury to heal up, the pain begins to increase and not cease. The pain continues to spread around the body instead of being localized to the region of the injury.

The intensity of the pain is felt that a simple touch from another person can look like a fire is placed at the area of the skin. The skin around the injury begins to change color and the area where there is an injury such as in the case of a fracture can become twisted and locked into excruciating pain. Treatment for this condition is partially effective and it includes pain meds, physical therapy, and anesthetic injection into the nerves.
