All of us who love cats wait for #Caturday to have the excuse to share some pictures of our kitties or cats in general, I would like to share today some story of my cats full of cute pictures or mischief, but the story I come to share today is of a cat that I have told you about before, because he has heterochromia in one of his eyes, his name is Metra, precisely because that eye is very similar to a metra or Marble.
Metra since he was abandoned to his fate in the Urbanization has had on the one hand the blessing that many of us have given him love and food, but on the other hand a series of situations have happened to him first because maybe it was his turn and others because of his character since he is very bad tempered and he fights even with his shadow.
So, some time ago he had to be operated because one night he didn't eat and when I went out to look for him I found him crawling, when I took him to the vet it turned out that the femur of his right paw had come out and he had to be operated, this is to give you an idea of part of what he has lived through.
On the other hand, recently this cat appeared with a wound in one ear, everything seemed to be the product of a fight, a neighbor was healing him, but last Easter he appeared one day with a hole in that ear, which gave me signs of a recent fight, as much as I tried to grab him to heal him, I could not because he was in a bad mood, so I left him alone thinking to let him calm down and take care of him the next day.
Unfortunately Metra disappeared for two or three days and when I appreciated him, they called me to inform me that he had a lot of worms in his ear, that day I was in the office and when I arrived I could not find him anywhere, the next day, April 19, a holiday in Venezuela, he was in a horrible state, the ear was very swollen, the meat was rotten and many worms, I could not take him to the vet until Wednesday.
So on Wednesday I called my work. I just lied and ran to take the cat to the vet clinic, where they told me it would take a couple of hours to take care of him, so I asked my husband to pick him up.
As you can see in the pictures this poor baby had a lot of worms and his condition deserved besides that visit, to go to the vet for daily cures and treatment, because to avoid an infection they are injecting him with ampicillin for twelve days (12), so today he is on his 9th day of treatment, they have removed a lot of dead and rotten skin from his ear and in the pictures you can see how his evolution is going.
On the other hand, something funny, this kitten has gained a reputation of bad fleas and biter in the veterinary clinic, so the assistants and veterinarians handle him with gloves to avoid bites and scratches.
In short, Metra has had bad days, but thank God I was able to take him to the vet, where they have attended him wonderfully and he has been improving little by little, he is still learning to manipulate the Elizabethan collar that has been placed to prevent him from scratching or touching his ear, but soon he will be completely recovered, now I say goodbye waiting to read your comments.
