Hello hive family,
How are you all?.Today, I want to share a memory from my recent trip to my parents' place. My brother had adopted a little cat named Kiwi, and my elder daughter, who is a big cat lover, was instantly smitten. From the first day, the bond between her and Kiwi was unbreakable. Throughout the trip, the two were inseparable—my daughter would gently pet her, play with her tail, and Kiwi would happily curl up beside her.
Seeing their bond, my daughter started insisting that we get a cat of our own. But a memory from the past holds me back. A few years ago, we had a cat who went missing, and it was heartbreaking for all of us. My daughters cried a lot, and I too felt an emptiness. When a pet becomes a part of your life, losing them is a pain that stays with you.
Now, I'm torn between giving in to my daughter’s wish and the fear of experiencing that loss again. This inner conflict continues, but my children’s happiness is also precious. Maybe one day, we’ll welcome a new cat into our home, and they’ll become a beloved part of our family once again.
