I went over to visit my parents recently and that means I also got to spend some time with their two Pomeranians Fritzy and Tito. Fritz has been around for several years now, but this is still the first year of them having Tito in the family. Fritz is a great dog and we all hoped that Tito would end up being a good dog as well.
At first, Tito was just so hyper, but that was mostly due to the fact that he was still a puppy. My mom did a good job of training him though and he is growing into quite a good little dog.
Tito and Fritz are different in a lot of ways, but also very similar. Both are fluff balls and make Poms. They get along great with each other too.
Fritz isn’t much for cuddling, but Tito sure seems to be okay with it. He has a lot of energy still, so sometimes it’s hard for him to settle down. Once he finally does though, he’s happy to lay on your lap. Fritz on the other hand just wants to be able to lay by himself in peace, which I can totally relate to.
Although I do love animals, I don’t think I’ll ever own a pet again in my life, at least not anytime in the near future. They require so much effort to take care of, not to mention all of the money on top of that. Sure, they are great company, but I prefer other humans to animals. It also doesn’t help that often I can get very itchy eyes and a stopped-up nose from being around dogs and cats. It doesn’t always happen, but when it does it’s unbearable and I’d never want to put up with that on a daily basis.
Tiny dogs that could be squished with an accidental misstep don’t seem like the best pets to have around. However, my mom and dad’s Pomeranian duo sure are sweet and a lot of fun to be around.
The two require a lot of grooming to stay looking their cutest, but it’s a price worth paying if you love them I suppose. I’m happy that my mom and dad still get to have two boys around the house now that my brother and I are both moved out. This will keep them from ever getting bored or lonely.
All of the photos in today’s blog are of Tito. I’ve posted pictures in the past. I’m just happy to see Tito behaving as he gets older and also his hair looks so much better now that he’s through that ugly puppy hair stage. He’s getting thick and fluffy now, and it’s a very soft texture to pet.
Enjoy the puppy vs now comparison photo and the rest of the bunch. Thanks for listening to me blabber on about my mom and dad’s cute little dogs.
